The All Progressive Congress National Youths Alliance for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari was on Thursday last week inaugurated in Calabar. The APC-NYA was set up as support group to work and galvanise support for the government of PMB. The group was set up by the SGF, and it is set up to ginger other Buhari support groups for the actualisation of Mr President's vision.
The APC-NYA is a group of people with proven integrity to pilot its affairs. The National Coordinator South-South, Chief Edet Asia is working around the clock to ensure that state chapter executives are inaugurated.
Chief Asia was in Calabar on Thursday, the 31th May, 2018 to inaugurate the Cross River State executive. Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Asia implored members to take a firm stand at supporting Mr President's re-election bid in 2019. Chief Asia stated that Mr President has achieved a lot within the past three years. "It is our responsibility to ensure that Nigerians are told about PMB's achievements." He continued that…."opposition mischief makers are doing all within their powers to make sure that Mr President is blamed for the hardship in the land. People forget that this mischief makers were in government for 16 years were all they did was to pillage the national treasury."
"Today, people are quick to blame the recession on President Buhari. But years before Mr President was elected in 2015, people like Prof Chukwuma Soludo, former governor of central bank has warned Nigerians of the impending danger if it does not save for a rainy day."
"Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, another former governor of the central bank has warned former President Goodluck Jonathan that if the stealing of the nation's money is not controlled, Nigeria will sure find itself in a difficult position to even pay salaries or even stumble over into recession."
"Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala also reiterated this position in her new book that is making the headlines now." Over the last three years, the Buhari Support Groups have been too quiet and also buying in the lie by the opposition PDP."
"It is therefore our responsibility to go out there and tell Nigerians the truth about PMB's achievements."
Chief Asia used the inauguration to warn members against using the group to rally support for aspirants seeking elections in the APC in Cross River State but we can support a consensus candidate that will fly the party's ticket after the party's primaries."
Delivering his speech as the Chairman of APCNYA in Cross River State, Ifere Paul assured the Zonal South-South Coordinator that he will give all that he has to make sure that President Muhammadu Buhari is re-elected.
