Sincerely my only consolation right now as a Nigerian is that, my vote was not part of the votes that brought this most clueless, heartless, senseless, satanic and blood sucking government to power.
I am consoled by the fact that, in my own little way, I warned Nigerians from electing an ethnic bigot as President.
I am consoled by the fact that, I warned Nigerians against falling for the antics of desperate power chasers that called themselves APC. Any discerning mind in 2014/2015 could see the desperation and hunger for power that was exhibited by the party.
I am consoled by the fact that, virtually all the things Governor Fayose, Chief Femi Fani Kayode, Nnamdi Kanu and a whole lot of others told Nigerians about the implication of electing a Buhari into power is happening right before their very eyes.
Sincerely, I lack words to describe whoever is still defending this government in spite of the high level of cluelessness it has exhibited since it came on board. For God sake, who defends a government that protects the lives of cows than that of a human being? Who defends a government that has shown clearly that it is on a revenge mission? A government that has shown clearly that it is for some people and not for everybody? It is nothing but evil. Yes it is.
More painful is the silence of those that ought to speak out. All of a sudden, the Falanas, Sagas, Tam Wests, Bakares, Sanusi etc have become deaf and dump. The multiple Civil Society Organisations like the Save Nigeria Group we saw in the Jonathan era have all disappeared. Our pastors are more concerned about collecting tithe and offering than using the pulpit to speak truth to power. Our musicians are now more interested in the beats of their songs than the lyrics. Nobody is using his/her music to talk about the carnage that is currently going on in Nigeria. Nigeria Student Unions have loss their voice because they are now appendages of government. Who will come to our rescue?
My heart bleeds for the people of Plateau. My hearts bleeds for Nigeria because they seem to be no end in sight. Today in Nigeria, it is all man for himself and God for us all. No wonder, one man can afford to have more than four mobile police men by himself!
May God send a helper, amen.
