The Speaker of Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. John Gaul Lebo on Saturday 28th, July 2018 received blessing from one time National Assembly member, Barr. Lekam Okoi for his federal House of representatives ambition.
Hon. Lebo received this blessing when he visited him as part of his preliminary consultation with PDP political family at Idomi,Yakurr L.G.A.
Hon Lekam charged Rt. Hon. Lebo to look into the decree that recognized Traditional Rulers, the issue of certificated traditional rulers without payment, and to strike a synergy with the state government to fix deplorable farm roads, Eweti-road/bridge among others to consolidate on the established relationship and confidence.
He further remarked,"I'm swayed and impressed by your profile, intelligence, competence and legislative experience. The Yakurr people will give you massive support. Consult the people when conducting your needs assessment. Work harder and don't sleep. I bless you, go and soar high."
Some prominent sons of Yakurr were in the speakers entourage. Rt. Hon. Eteng Williams Jones (Member Yakurr 2), Hon. Nelson Ofem (Yakurr 1) and Hon. John Inyang, commissioner for lands among others.
