Torrential downpour and severe thunderstorms disrupted the Friday 20th July Cross River Northern Senatorial District Empowerment Programme organised by Dr Rose Oko, the distinguished Senator representing Cross River North at the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria NegroidHaven has confirmed. Angry constituents are said to have also stolen the items the Senator had planned to 'empower' her constituents with.
It would interest you to know that at exactly 8:45am of that fateful Friday, few hours to the commencement of the event, a popular social commentator, Simon Utsu, had prayed to what he described as the Almighty God that the event be disrupted by 'unfavourable weather and confusion'. Surprisingly, there's heavy rain, terrific thunderstorm and reports of theft of the items which ultimately frustrated the event.
Utsu's prayer on Facebook went thus: 'Good morning Almighty father. Please send unfavorable weather and confusion to a place in Nigeria where a heartless senator will be doing her phoney empowerment program today in Jesus name, Amen'.
Engr Mauricemoore Mbom on social media confirmed the rain fall. According to him, 'Rain disrupt Rose Ooo empowerment today. I glued myself in Gakuna Hotels from my office with my Gulder. Simon Utsu is a prophet fear him small.' According to Tom Alims, 'Simon Utsu Mystic man. See the ground. Wet. Rain. Your prayers. Answered. Some will say it is "showers of blessings."
Trust Nigerians.' 'Guy your juju na original, I swear it rained today like hell', according to Augustine Uche Jupiter. Ogbeche Wuyieloyie said that, 'Simon, your prayer have been answered, heavy rain in Ogoja now.'
Finally, the affected Senator confirmed the ugly development through her media aide, Mr Ebriku John Friday who said, 'Thank you  Father Lord for sending heavy rain and thunderstorms  to the empowerment ground in Ogoja today. I also thank you in advance almighty God because by this time next year, Cros River North will have a brand new people oriented senator and not one who will be making frivolous tours around America when her people are being slaughtered in their hundreds in preventable communal clashes.  We give you thanks in Jesus name, Amen.'

This development just in time was too real to be a mere coincidence. Supposing, it's not a coincidence, could it mean that The Almighty God answered Utsu's prayer? If yes, does it suggest that God isn't on the lawmaker's side? Hmmmm!
