Nyok|7 September 2018
Flood is overrunning almost every where in Calabar, Cross River capital city NegroidHaven has confirmed following yesterday’s heavy deluge.
Video footages show Governor’s Office as well as the adjoining Ministry of Finance under flood, and unattended to so much so that online publisher, Mr Ukorebi Esien has taunted that the state governor, Professor Ben Ayade, has relocated one of his abandoned pet project, Deep-sea Port, to the Government House. Hmmm!
Similarly, state-owned varsity, Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH), especially the staff quarters,  etc almost submerged under flood. All three campuses of institution were hard hits for yesterday rain.

One Odo Ukpata has asked whether the CRSG wouldn’t make good use of the Ecological Fund.
‘Cross River State University of Technology (CRUTECH ) Staff Quarters in Calabar is dangerously under siege from flood since 6AM today. CRUTECH guest houses are also submerged!
‘CRUTECH is helpless ooo. children are suffering O. I am hosting some of the refugees from the flooded areas. For how long?
‘Will Cross River State Government intervene for once with Ecological Funds?
‘Drainage outfall is required to take flood water away from CRUTECH staff quarters urgently.
‘Channel 1 that  brings more flood water from Calabar town is collapsing everywhere within CRUTECH!
‘Will  Cross River state government pay attention to repairs and reconstruction?’
