The Executive Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade, report has it that, the Smart Card Reader failed to read his Permanent Voters Card, PVC at his polling unit in Obudu where he and his wife went to exercise their franchise yesterday.
The incident which lasted, albeit, for a while came to normalcy would have resulted in his not been accredited.

However, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC the electoral umpire of the country has bragged that the Smart Card Reader accredited all the 71 presidential candidates for the 2019 general elections yesterday.
