The senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Cross River Central Senatorial District, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba has expressed his joy and excitement with the humongous success that the party’s presidential campaign recorded in Calabar on Wednesday 30th January 2019.
The rally, which held in the expansive main bowl of the U.J Esuene Stadium drew a mammoth crowd of enthusiastic party supporters from across the 18 Local Government Areas of Cross River State. It was also attended by the APC presidential flag bearer and incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari, the national Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Organization, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi and other leaders of the party both at the national and state levels.
The high point of the event was the handing over of the party flag to Senator John Owan Enoh as the governorship candidate, Senator Bassey Otu, Senator Ndoma-Egba and Chief Wabily Nyiam as the senatorial candidates for Cross River Southern, Central and Northern Senatorial Districts respectively.
According to Senator Ndoma-Egba, there were teething challenges that threatened to scuttle the successful organization of the rally. These challenges are readily traceable to the fact that the APC was an opposition party in the State and has such needed to work extra hard to host such a huge event successfully. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the State leadership of the party, the governorship candidate and all the candidates contesting elections on the party’s platform for their effort in the massive mobilization of supporters. He reserved the highest praise for the party faithfuls who braved the obvious difficulties and made it in their numbers into the Stadium which was filled to capacity with no assistance from the party. He observed that the people in the crowd were genuine in their support and enthusiasm for the party and the glaring need to move Nigeria to the NEXT LEVEL while working to make BETTER DAYS POSSIBLE AGAIN in Cross River State.
For Senator Ndoma-Egba, the large crowd and the hitch free event was testament to the fact that the APC in Cross River State has put its house in order and is ready for the elections with the strong possibility to deliver massive electoral victories to President Buhari and all the party’s candidates.
