Students of the Cross River State School of Midwifery, Calabar and Moniaya, Ogoja, have respectively raised the bar of academic record in the State by making another hundred percent pass in the March 2019 final qualifying examination.
These students have yet again proven to the world that our 2017 fight for accreditation is not in vain, as this is the second time in a row we will be recording hundred percent in external exams. We shall continue to invest in their knowledge and professional development as this will in turn translate into quality health service delivery in the State. – Dr. Inyang Asibong, Commissioner for Health
According to the Principal of School of Midwifery Calabar, Mrs. Edum Tangban the result is very remarkable, it shows the enormous work the authorities and students of our schools are putting in appreciation of the efforts of the State Government in securing accreditations and infrastructural development for our schools.
It would be recalled about a year ago the state recorded a 100% pass in the same exam and returned a year later to repeat the same feat, indicating an improvement in the quality and standard of Nursing and Midwifery Education in the State.
