This development followed a Monday meeting with the Government of Cross River State represented by His Excellency the Deputy Governor of the state, Prof. Ivara Ejemot Esu and designated interest groups intricately related with the development.
The meeting which ended in the night of yesterday had in attendance Deputy Governor Esu, the embattled Interim Chair of IPMAN in the state, Edet 'Wawawa' Uwana and four of his delegates, the former IPMAN chair Lawrence Agim and four delegates, NUPENG national delegates and the three man government committee with other stakeholders.
According to a credible source close to IPMAN there will be a meeting Tuesday with the State Government with the state governor anticipated to be present.
Constitutional Logjam and Reason for IPMAN Industrial Action
According to findings, the 1997 Constitution of IPMAN the Vice Chair of the Association mans the affairs for three months at the interim sequel to the expiration of the tenure of the state EXCO. But in the 2009 Constitution, an interim government other than the Vice Chairm takes over the reins.
The national EXCO which swore in Uwana is acknowledged by an extant Supreme Court judgement.
