US Government endorses Dr. Linda Ayade as Malaria champion

The First Lady of Cross River, Dr. Linda Ayade earlier on received her investiture as Malaria Champion presented to her during the flag off of the recently concluded Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets’ (LLINs) distribution across the State by the President Malaria Initiative (PMI) who were the implementing partners of the campaign. 
Presenting the award to Her Excellency in her office, the immediate past Commissioner for Health, Dr. Inyang Asibong, who earlier on recieved the award on behalf of the First Lady, said the investiture represents the enormous work Her Excellency has put in the fight against malaria in the country whilst congratulating the Mediatrix Team on all the feats achieved so far in improving the health indices of CRS. 
In her remarks, Her Excellency thanked the organization for the recognition and promised to continue to lend her voice and do her bit in the fight against malaria. She also assured that her pet project, the Mediatrix Development Foundation, will continue to combat preventable diseases in the State. 
It would be recalled that Her Excellency is also Nigeria’s number one Malaria Ambassador, a feat she achieved during the last dispensation.
