President Muhammadu Buhari has forwarded to the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 43 names of eminent Nigerians who would constitute his cabinet for the second term in office including that Goddy Jedy-Agba an erstwhile General Managing Director, GMD of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC as the Cross River nominee contrary to popular expectations. This development has sparked profound discontent among the rank and file of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Cross River State who are obviously rattled by Buhari’s decision.

A video showing a woman crying over President Muhammadu Buhari’s choice of ministerial nominee from Cross River State has already gone viral.

She is addressed as Bukie Okangbe a former journalist with state-owned Cross River Broadcasting Corporation, CRBC. According to her, she was a media aide to Sen. John Owan-Enoh the embattled gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Cross River State in the 2019 general elections in Nigeria.

The obviously broken Okangbe could not compose herself before the camera as she was seen to recount her experiences during the elections and her expectation for her principal, Owan-Enoh. Okangbe disclosed that she is sad and ‘don’t know what democracy is all about any more’, asked if democracy is all about one working and putting food on other people’s table who sleeps while someone else is working? According to the visibly broken media aide, Owan-Enoh invested more than any other APC politician in the state for the emergence of Buhari. But, Buhari has nominated a Cross River nominee who was faraway in Germany during the general elections.
