Calabar, Cross River-based influential OAP, journalist and blogger has charged the Speaker of the 9th Cross River State House of Assembly to consider influencing government attention towards the deplorable condition of road infrastructure in Agoi Ibami in Yakurr LGA in the state.
Iwara U. Iwara did this on Thursday through his social media account where he showcased numerous pictures of unbecoming situation of critical infrastructure in the community.
Iwara has joined hands with one Lot Wisdom an indigene of the said agrarian community where the Speaker hails from to ask for intervention in the impassable road.

According to Iwara, ‘Agoi Ibami in Yakurr LGA, Cross River State, better describes the neglect one community suffers in the presence of failed governance.

This exceptional agrarian community has no electricity, potable water or a passable all year round road, of any nature.
‘Exploited mostly for top draw timber and votes during elections, Agoi Ibami remains abandoned and neglected by a corps of conniving Yakurr elites and the community labours daily with farm produce that cannot be sold, a primary and secondary school that receives no government attention and all the other things that redefine the word, difficult.

‘I join Lot Wisdom, an indigene of this community in calling out her political son, Eteng Jones Williams, Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly to be SPEAKER in word and deed. His people are indeed suffering!’ Iwara concluded.
