The Executive Governor of Cross River state Sir Ben Ayade has approved the appointment of Prof. Ogar David Abua as the acting Vice Chancellor of Cross River University of Technology NEGROIDHAVEN can say.
A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary GAO for the Secretary to the State Government Barr.Tina Banku Agbor in Calabar said the appointment takes effect from today 7th November 2019.
Ogar who is a Professor of Forest Economics and Management at the Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Wildlife Resources Management, University of Calabar, Calabar andholds a Ph.D and M.Sc. degrees in Forest Economics and Management from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, in addition to a Bachelor degree in Forestry and Wildlife from the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State is taking over from Prof. Akon Joshua who pilot the affairs of the institution for three months since May 2019.
CRUTECH last substantive Vice Chancellor is Prof. Anthony Owan Enoh whose five-year tenure expired May this year.
