Industrialisation: C/River State Gov’t to partner Central Bank of Nigeria

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Industry, Mr. Chris O. Ogaidang has told the management of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN that they are partners with the state in industrialization.
He made the statement while meeting with the Head, Development Finance, Dr. Aniefiok A. Umoren at the Central Bank of Nigeria, South South Office in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
He said he was visiting the Central Bank of Nigeria in appreciation of the growing partnership of the bank with the state in the area of agro industrialisation and to seek further collaboration going forward. 
Mr. Ogaidang said the One Local Government Area, One Industry policy of the Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade administration is a revolutionary policy direction that will bring unprecedented economic development to the state.
He added that this will also create jobs, bring prosperity and take Cross River State from the third to the first world. He concluded that as the governor, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade has repeatedly said, agro-industrialisation is the key to Africa's development. 
Responding, the Head Development Finance, Central Bank of Nigeria, South South, said they were excited to be partners with Cross River State in Agro Industrialisation,
He said the Buhari led Administration agenda was focused on Agriculture, Job creation and Agro industrialization. He continued that the Central Bank of Nigeria was committed to delivering on these as well as improving standards of living and growing the GDP.
Dr. Umoren said this informed their strong support of the agro industrialisation agenda of Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade administration. He said the Central Bank of Nigeria was willing to do more in partnership with Cross River State.
He ended by congratulating the Special Adviser on his new appointment and said having worked with him in a different capacity before, he was confident of Mr. Ogaidang's capacity to set targets and deliver at his current job description.
Present at the meeting were  Barr. Agabi Oko, a legal luminary and consultant, and desk officers in the Development Finance Office of the Central Bank of Nigeria, South South Headquarters.
