I felicitate with all Nigerians and in particular the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration and for successfully completing their Ramadan Fast.
It is gratifying to note that despite the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the whole world, the Almighty Allah allowed Muslims in Cross River State to join the Muslim Ummah in observance of key rituals of the period.
As we look forward to an end to the current gloom and a return to normalcy, let us continue to work together for the safety, wellbeing and prosperity of our state while adhering strictly to the COVID-19 safety protocol such as wearing of face masks, observing social distancing and regular washing of hands.
I enjoin you to continue to sustain the acts of purity, charity, perseverance and tolerance in your daily lives and general conduct even as the holy month has ended.
On behalf of myself and Members of the Cross River State House of Assembly, I wish you all Eid Mubarak.
Signed
Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams
