A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Friday, 4th of September has upheld the Ward and Chapter EXCO lists.
The judgement also declared as null and void the disqualification of Rt. Hon Jarigbe Agom’s participation in the PDP Cross River North Senatorial Primary.
The court has held that the 1st (PDP) and 2nd (Governor Ben Ayade) defendants has no right to alter or modify the list of elected officials emanating that was a product of the process that took place on the 7th and 21st of March this way.
The court cited extant provisions of the Electoral Act and Section 251 of CFRN to support the argument that it has jurisdiction to entertain the matter. Therefore the 1st and 2nd defendants preliminary objection challenging jurisdictions of the court to hear the matter is dismissed.
