UNICAL seeks support from South Korea Embassy to host NUGA Games in 2023

The University of Calabar has sought the support and partnership of the South Korean Embassy in Nigeria in the area of building of indoor sports centre as the University prepares to host the Nigerian Universities Games (NUGA) in 2023.

Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Florence Obi, who visited the Korean Embassy in Abuja, told the Korean Diplomat that all necessary arrangements by the University to host the NUGA games in 2023 was on course.

The VC presented the design of the indoor sports centre to the Ambassador.

Responding, the Ambassador, His Excellency, Kim Young-Chae, said that the South Korean Government will explore ways of collaborating with the University, especially in the promotion of sports like taekwando and cultural exchanges.

The VC later took a tour of the South Korean Central Centre where she was later adorned with a South Korean dress.
