The National Woman Leader (Elect) of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Professor Stella Effah-Attoe expresses sadness over the demise of Dr Joseph Wayas, the former Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria whose sad event happened in London.

With deep sense of loss, Professor Stella described the former Senate President’s passing as a monumental national loss. She remarked that at a time like this in which the Nigerian Legislative Arm of Government is facing a daunting task of constitution amendments towards a better Nigeria, the wealth of experience and knowledge of patriotism of Dr Joseph Wayas would have been useful and handy.

Professor Stella Effah-Attoe commiserates with the family of the deceased, the people of Obanliku Local Government Area, CrossRiverians, the National Assembly and Nigeria as a country for the loss of the national icon, politician, nation builder and peace lover in the personality of Dr Joseph Wayas.

The Peoples Democratic Party Woman Leader further extols the qualities of the late former Senate President whom she described as the Foundation Layer of the Nigerian Legislative Arm of government, a nationalist who worked hard to see the Nigerian state remain one big indivisible country, a detribalized bridge builder across the length and breath of Nigeria. Professor Stella remarked that a big vacuum has been created as another Foundational Political Icon exits. She prayed for the repose of the soul of the Elder Statesman.

The PDP National Woman Leader sends her condolences to the family, friends and to all Nigerians on the passing of the late icon.
