Before qualifying for the World University (FISU) Games scheduled for July 28 through August 18, 2023, at Chengdu, China, the promising student-Judoka, Margaret Ukam Upoh, of the Department of Biology at the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has already coveted two medals.
Student-Judoka Upoh has worn already worn two medals, Silver and Bronze, at a NUGA competition which held at the University of Lagos during COVID-19 in March 2021 —a typical Nigerian spirit of resilience.
The above medals are what qualified her for the NUGA-World University Games Trials which held at the University of Benin, from which she qualified to represent NUGA-NGR during the forthcoming World University (FISU) Games billed for Chengdu, China.
