A leading aspirant for the Cross River North senatorial seat, John Onyi Agaba, has formally advanced his 2027 ambition by purchasing the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) NEGROIDHAVEN can say.
The forms were obtained at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, with a payment receipt confirming the sum of ₦20 million, covering both fees for the senatorial race. The payment has been duly acknowledged by the party, positioning Agaba to participate in the APC’s internal processes ahead of the primaries.
Further consolidating his bid, Dr. Agaba also appeared before the Northern Senatorial District screening committee at the Ogoja Local Government Secretariat, where he was successfully screened.
Speaking after the exercise, Agaba declared his determination to remain in the race, stating that he is not stepping down for anyone. He assured supporters of his commitment to bringing fresh development to Cross River North.
He also expressed appreciation to the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Bassey Edet Otu, for providing what he described as a fair and open platform for all aspirants, reiterating that his support for the governor remains “100 percent and unshaken.”
