Cross River State is reputed for hoisting the tallest flag in the dark continent. Some may argue that it's
just in West Africa. Albeit, it's the tallest and largest in Nigeria. Methinks nobody dares to debate about it.

For reasons I may not be well abreast with; the green and white colour flag is neither hung nor
flying either at full or half mast. The mast has been standing shamelessly for over three months now.

A walk to 11/11 Park is not worth it anymore. One of the things that adds colours to the beauty of the
park is the national flag. Too bad, what we have now is a gigantic mast. The pole has been standing
shamelessly for over three months now.

The last time I enquired, I was told that the contractor travelled to Germany to sew new ones. What is
happening? Are we retrogresing or progressing?

At least , no matter how bad it was, sometimes, we used to see dirty piece of filthy rag hanging there
during Imoke's government. Fieh!
The people saddled with the responsibility should be swift in duty. The roundabout that is just a few metres from it is in sordid state.

The tiles are broken and falling off. Spirogyra and blue-green algae has defaced its artistry essence.
