Yes, we're Economists,
We're are not Agronomists,
Neither are we Taxonomists,
But we're always Economists!
We exist due to resource scarcity,
This is without an iota of mendacity,
A position from which we draw audacity,
As we're bent on building capacity!
We want the best life,
As our guys wish for the best wife,
We encourage you to strive, not strife,
Without which disaster is rife!
Some people are being dingy,
If they say we're stingy,
You're not being zingy,
When you accuse us of being mingy!
Some people say we're misers,
The truth is that we're maximisers,
They are condemned accusers,
If they say we're mere advisers!
Yes, we're known for the assumption
'All things being equal,'
Without having a presumption,
That all things are not always equal!
Some folks may like to be our members,
Just that they can't stand the sight of numbers,
Like a student who easily slumbers,
So he hardly ever remembers!
