I have struggled to restrain myself from commenting on stupid political issues until I read a news item that I find very ridiculous. The news that Ayade is proposing to build Canadian international schools in Cross River seems like the greatest joke of this century.

The same governor who recently dismantled ITM Ugep that was built to international standard in partnership with Highbury College in the UK, is now proposing to build international schools based on Canadian standard. I am terribly ashamed of Goddy Ettah. I recall challenging Goddy in his country home in Ugep, in the company of ITM student leaders, and his younger brother who almost fought me for challenging the so called "education commissioner" over the state of ITM.

I recall citing the example of how Research in Motion has transformed University of Waterloo in Canada, and that my experience at ITM reminded me of transformations that could possibly  happen with good leadership. Instead of listening to me, he interjected me repeatedly and even displayed some  boisterous and arrogant attitude, claiming he studied in England. Just England? Why not the moon? At that moment I lost respect for him because in my assessment, his reasoning fell short of the education and exposure he claimed to have acquired in England.

The moment I left he told his followers that I will never be like Ayade, as if the governor and I are in a competition. Again, poor reasoning from a British graduate. Today, he accompanied the governor to sign MoU in Canada after contributing to the political dismantling of ITM,  the only evidence of government presence in that community.

Posterity will never forgive Goddy Ettah so long as God almighty is watching his evil manipulations against his community including the destinies of children whose hopes have been dashed after investing hundreds of thousands in that school with the hope that they will be receiving high quality education modeled after Highbury standard.
