I sympathize with all those affected by the windstorm that took place in Oboso, Ojerim, Nkim and Ogberia-Ochoro communities of Mbube as reported by Cross River Watch.
This is most painful as the affected communities are directly under my political ward, Mbube-East Ward 11.
I do understand what it means to be homeless, and lack hope of food and shelter.
I know what it means to be worried as a result of no place to lay your head.
This is no time to weep. It is a time to help those affected by the windstorm.
The government of Cross River State, through the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), should immediately look into the plight of my people.
I also call on well meaning sons and daughters of Ogoja, and indeed Cross River State to assist the affected victims in coming out of this disaster.
