Paul was unlawfully arrested at Abuja, brought to Calabar without reasonable basis.
Whosoever ordered his arrest under the assumptions of legal authority deprived Paul's liberty of movement and screened him away from seeing his lawyer and his people is very malicious.
Can any right thinking persons or government use force plus illegal show of authority to restrain Paul Ifere from going about his normal day to day business because Paul Ifere acted in good faith to uncover the fraudulent antics of the state government who credited the state's governments bail out funds of N31 billion to a private account of one Mr. Frank, Governor Ben Ayade's blood brother.
Paul Ifere also uncovered several other fraudulent activities of Ben Ayade's Government, like sharing/selling ministry of water board landed properties to his friends and family members, incorporating a personal glorified sewing warehouse, naming same a garment factory and claiming that the sewing factory belongs to the state government.
Paul Ifere called on Governor Ben Ayade to do a thorough soul searching of himself and his administration as there is no electricity power supply for several years at Obudu. The governor's own local government area.
The shock of Paul Ifere's malicious arrest shall be so damaging to his person as he has been physically detained without legal justifications.
All Progressives Congress Cross River State calls on the state government and their security cohorts to urgently release Paul Ifere.
All Progressives Congress averred that with such improper arrest, improper captivity, improper commitment to police cell, improper confinement, improper constraints, improper deprivation of liberty, improper imprisonment, improper incarceration, illegal restraints, improper placement into custody, improper seizure, wrong captivity, wrongful placement to custody is a direct and gross violation of Paul Ifere's human right activities.
All Progressives Congress will do everything legally possible to protect the fundamental human right of our teaming members.
The party advice Ayade and his inept government to face the challenges of governance and stop this unlawful/illegal activities.
We call on members of the party to remain calm as the leadership of the party, both at national and the state level are on top of the situation.
