Director General of Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Betta Edu at the Four Pillars Plus Project 2nd Annual Stakeholders meeting held at Transcorp Hotel Calabar disclosed that Cross River State has taken lead at training primary health workers on how to manage gender crisis and domestic violence NegroidHaven can report 
She commended FHI360 for coming up with the Four Pillar Project in the State aimed at addressing issues bothering young adolescents like domestic violence, sexual life of adolescents, personal hygiene, general health, leadership, motivation and lots more.
She said for the first time health workers have been trained on how to manage patients that come into facilities with cases of domestic violence.
Dr Edu stated that young ones, adolescents and children can now walk freely with confidence into the health facilities to complain of personal problems without the harassment of children by the health workers unlike before. This according to her is part of the successes recorded from the project.
She used the medium to passionately appeal for the extension of the program to enable other part of the State benefit from it while also calling on them to create teaching curriculum for School of Health Technology so the graduate health workers that have capacity to handle gender violence. in Cross River State Primary Healthcare system.
The Project Director of Four Pillars Plus, Mrs Tosin Akibu had earlier paid a courtesy visit to thank the DG for her support in mentoring and interacting with the adolescents across the State. Referring to her as a role model for our generation.
She said the team will continue to seek her support and collaboration as they round up the project in Cross River.
The meeting had in attendant Commissioner of Education, Hon Godwin Ettah, Attorney General Hon Abang, Commissioner of Women Affairs, Mrs Stella Orem Odey, Chairman State Secondary Education Board, Chief Johnson Ugbor, S.A Gender Affairs, Mrs Helen A Egodo, Representative of Community leaders, Parents, students and Principal of Schools amongst others who gave testimonies of the impact of the project.
