Brothers Across Nigeria (BAN) donates items to motherless home, awards Essien Ayi, others

Brothers Across Nigeria (BAN) an international humanitarian and charity organisation has donated items worth thousands of Naira to the Uwanse Motherless Home as part of their humanitarian activities to celebrate the birth of Christmas NegroidHaven can report. 

This was part of the programes lined up by BAN for its Children Christmas Party and Award Night/Fund Raising for Ultra Modern Secretariat/Health Club held Saturday, 16th December, 2017.

The children Christmas party which was put together for both children of the motherless home and other privileged children saw children across homes uniting together to perform various activities of the day such as games, dancing competition, etc. 

While donating the items to the Matron in-Charge of the home, Chief Joseph Duke, state chairman of BAN said he was delighted to be part of this move, it gives him great joy that BAN is affecting lives positively, he thanked the management of the Home for taking good care of the children and making sure that all their needs are met. 

Duke also thank the father of the day Apostle Hon. Essien Ekpenyong Ayi who was represented by Mr. Francis Ettah for his commitment to the course of BAN. His appreciation also went to his fellow brothers who had contributed in no small measure to make sure that day was a huge success. 

The state Chairman expressed happiness in the way and manner members of BAN comport themselves, he said as an organisation, theirs is to affect lives and not to destroy as other organisations are known for. 

In his words;  'While some youths are busy fighting and killing themselves in the name of cultism, Brothers Across Nigeria (BAN) are physically present here in this same Calabar South doing good, and adding value to lives. We were at the orphanage home this morning sharing love, live and gift items with the less privileged.' Duke said.  

Receiving the items, the matron of the home thanked BAN for such a kind gesture and for putting smiles on the faces of the children, she wished other corporate bodies and individuals will toe the path of BAN by always remembering to visit the home. She also prayed for God's abundance, blessings and protection on members of BAN as well as God refilling their purses.

The activities for the day ended in an Award Night/Fund Raising for an Ultra Modern Secretariat/Health Club.

High point of the Award night were a red carpet show anchored by Mr. Missang Akpet, a paper presentation, and award presentation, music, wine and dinner etc. 

Prominent dignitories were present to grace the occassion as many were awarded. 

Some of the awardees include Apostle Hon. Essien Ekpenyong Ayi, Hon. Effa Nyong Esu a, Mr. Oliver Orok , Mr. Renny Etta, Mr. Randy Otu, Esinjo Young Eta, Sir Barnabas Abam, Samuel Ekanem, Sir Amaechi Madike 

Hon. Innocent Oshie, Mr. Chris Ogaidang, Mr. Emmanuel Ogar, Mrs. Ekanem Eyamba, Queensley Offiong Bassey and  many others.

Receiving his Award, Apostle hon. Essien Ayi who was represented by Mr. Francis Ettah said he shares the same values, believes and philosophy that BAN upholds. He loves BAN, he understands BAN. And he also believes in the freedom of children and will support any cause that fights against child trafficking. 

Apostle Ayi aslo advised the association to also look out for other areas were children are suffering and proffer solutions. Adding that he looks forward to the day where the Nigerian child will be devoid of hunger, suffering, homelessness etc and he is ready to support BAN in any measure. 

He finally asked the BAN family to pray for him and support his future endevours. 

While intimating visitors presents on some of the Corporate social activities of Ban,  Mr. Misang Akpet said Corporate Social/humanitarian activities is one of the major pillar in BAN that is very much cherished so much. 'We must give back to the society at all times, just as we have expressed this in different locations and times', He added.

He listed some of the Humanitarian activities to include

*Visit to the orphanage home in Ugep on the 14th Feb 2014, 

*visit to  the old people home in Calabar on the same day, 

*Fund raising friendly match to create awareness on the effect of Cancer diseases in 2015 

 *Visit the motherless home again in Ugep 2015. 

BAn has championed a course on child trafficking, abandonment etc. We place strong emphasis on good health. Thus, ones every Saturday we carry out monthly exercises. It is not exclusive to members alone. We also organised health talks. Distributed 12,000 copies of exercise books to primary school Pupils in Akpabuyo.
